Tasks

-Manage work orders (manual and electronic), documentation, and maintenance logs -Schedule and assign daily tasks for shop personnel; manage workloads efficiently -Coordinate with site teams to plan equipment availability and minimize downtime -Oversee CVOR updates and permit renewals -Collaborate directly with leadership in a supportive and respectful work environment -Oversee all day-to-day equipment repairs and preventative maintenance -Train, mentor, and develop mechanics and shop team members -Handle transportation logistics, equipment floats, and insurance requirements -Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including CVOR and inspection requirements -Monitor and improve shop and yard organization, cleanliness, and general upkeep -Track fleet performance and ensure adherence to manufacturers’ maintenance guidelines -Coordinate third-party vendors, subcontractors, and purchasing of parts/consumables

What You Bring

-Familiar with inventory tracking, work order systems, and maintenance documentation -Solid understanding of CVOR compliance, safety inspections, and preventative maintenance scheduling -Valid driver’s license required; relevant certifications or trade background an asset -Ability to prioritize, troubleshoot, and adapt in a fast-paced, hands-on environment -5+ years of experience managing fleet operations or heavy equipment maintenance in a construction or industrial environment -2–3 Mechanics -1 Shop-Hand Key -Approx. 60 pieces of heavy iron -Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills -Proven experience leading a team of mechanics or shop personnel
