Overview
Design and analysis of HV/MV/LV power systems for infrastructure and data centre projects.

Tasks
-Support timely invoicing, debt chasing, management of WIP and forward workload/resource planning for your own projects. -Be responsible for the day-to-day technical delivery and design calculations for assessing electrical loads on buildings sizing utility connections, generators, uninterruptible power supplies and renewable technologies, together with associated earthing and distribution systemsdesign services for multi-disciplinary projects across a number of building sectors. -Interact regularly with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a communicative, collaborative and timely approach to delivery. -Mentor and support our ‘next gen’ professionals including apprentices and graduates. -Produce design deliverables including specifications, drawings, and schedules. Including Design and calculations of substations and points of connections from LV to HV. You will also undertake Load flow, fault level, G5/5 harmonic and protection studies.

What You Bring
-Power quality capability to undertake studies for G99 export applications, including Harmonics. -Demonstrable experience working with clients / contractors / architects in a design oriented / consultant role. -Proven experience working as an Power Systems or HV Engineer or closely related role, with a track record delivering on a variety of complex projects. -Have the ability in producing schematic designs, fault discrimination studies preparing specifications and reports and carrying out site inspections of surveys and detailed design development is crucial a passion for accurate power design systems is key -Further experience regarding network resilience analysis would be beneficial, linked to the mitigation or failure modes and single points of failure’. -Ability to carry out studies such as G5/5 harmonics, load flow, fault studies, transient studies and protection coordination studies . -Conversant in power systems high voltage substation design, earthing arrangements, CT calculations, arc flash calculations, differential protection and stability slopes etc and rate of rise voltage calculations. -Experience of supporting others to develop knowledge, skills, and confidence. -LV system analysis software to model complex networks and run advanced power systems studies. -Experience of modern technical delivery processes, and use of relevant software/tools such as BIM, Revit, CAD electrical ETAP, Amtech or EOM.
