Accounts Payable Specialist

Overview

Manage AP, invoice processing, vendor relations, and month-end tasks.

Tasks

-Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve payment issues -Review and process utility bills for each of units under construction to ensure no disconnects are processed on our accounts -Process and verify invoices & AIA, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies -Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly -Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies -Manage the accounts payable ledger, including coding, batching, and entering invoices into the accounting system -Assist in month-end closing procedures -Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments -Distribute IRS Form 1099 for all appropriate vendors at year end

What You Bring

-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. -Associate’s degree in accounting or relevant work experience -Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. -Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes. -3 years of experience in accounts payable, construction experience preferred -Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
