Operate sheet‑metal CNC punching, forming and laser cutting machines in production.

Tasks

-Using simple material handling equipment and overhead cranes to handle sheet-metal stock ranging from 30 lbs. to 150 lbs. -Inspecting parts using various measurement tools.

What You Bring

-Ability to read blueprints. -Basic knowledge of machine controls and programs. -One year of experience with the set-up and operation of computer-controlled punching, cutting, forming machines, or press brakes. -Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs. -Pushing: Occasional use of electric hand truck to move parts a moderate distance. -1 year of machinist and manufacturing experience a plus. -Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs. -Ability to use or learn how to use measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial calipers, protractors and tape measures. -Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances -Standing: Most tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking. -Use of computer-controlled sheet metal processing machines to produce ofhigh-qualityparts by reading and interpreting complex blueprints. -Pulling: Occasional use of electric hand truck to move parts a moderate distance. -Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees. -Bending: Frequent bending and crouching required to perform a variety of tasks. Reaching -Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs., along with a variety of hand-tools.
