Overview
Process weekly multi-state payroll, ensure compliance, support employees, and improve systems.

Tasks
-Collaboration Work closely with the Human Resources and Benefits departments to ensure seamless integration of new hires, terminations, and status changes. -Process Improvement Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes for greater efficiency and accuracy -Compliance & Reporting Ensure correct processing of employee taxes, benefits, and wage garnishments. Prepare and submit required payroll reports for management and external agencies as needed. -Payroll Processing Process accurate and timely weekly payroll for a workforce that includes both hourly in multiple states (New York and New Jersey). -Data Management Collect, maintain, and input all employee information, including working hours, tax elections (W-4s), direct deposit details, pay rates, and benefits deductions into the payroll system (experience with systems like ADP). -Calculate Bonuses and commissions when applicable. -Employee Support Respond to employee inquiries and concerns regarding paychecks, deductions, and time off accruals in a professional and timely manner.

What You Bring
-Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. -Technical Skills Proficient in payroll software (ADP Workforce Now) and integrated accounting systems. Strong data entry skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). -Problem-Solving Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve payroll discrepancies and issues efficiently. -Knowledge Solid understanding of federal, state (NY and NJ), and local regulations and compliance requirements related to payroll. -Experience 1-2+ years of experience in payroll processing, including experience with garnishments and payroll taxes. -Work Environment Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines, occasionally under pressure. -Attention to Detail Exceptional accuracy in data entry and commitment to detail to ensure error-free payroll execution.
