The Role

Overview

Maintain and repair mechanical plant/equipment in aluminium fabrication.

Tasks

-Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment as required -Perform general duties while adhering to all site safety standards -Diagnose and conduct corrective maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment with minimal downtime in a maritime environment -Perform tasks in accordance with maintenance instructions and maintain accurate records in the maintenance management system -Inspect work to ensure it meets all quality specifications and standards

What You Bring

-Strong mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting skills -Sound understanding of workplace health and safety regulations and safe work practices -Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role -High Risk Work Licences (e.g., Rigging, Forklift, EWP) and Working at Heights certification are advantageous -Ability to liaise effectively with supporting contractors (as required) -Ability to assemble and fit mechanical parts and equipment -Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications -Trade qualification as a Mechanical or Hydraulic Fitter -Experience in recording and documenting results and tolerances -Confident in the use of hand and power tools -Proficiency in CMMS systems and general computer literacy (e.g., Microsoft Office) -Ability to work both independently and as part of a team -Ability to inspect work to ensure it meets specifications
