Inspect and ensure quality of piping systems on the PUMA construction project.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Carry out visual inspections and thickness checks on structural and piping coatings -Review and interpret piping isometrics and PIDs to ensure proper installation and alignment -Inspect and assess the installation of piping systems in accordance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ASTM, API, ANSI) -Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control procedures during inspections -Conduct final acceptance inspections for completed piping systems -Prepare inspection reports, documenting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions required -Conduct visual inspections to detect any defects or damage in piping, welds, fittings, and supports -Conduct visual inspections of welding quality, including surface conditions, alignment, and weld size -Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and best practices -Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to address any issues found during inspections -Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner, including inspection records, non-conformance reports -Ensure non-destructive testing (NDT) such as ultrasonic testing (UT), radiographic testing (RT), and magnetic particle testing (MPT) of welds are carried out in accordance with the project specifications -Verify that all welding is performed according to established procedures and welding standards.
