- Test materials such as soils, concrete, and asphalt as determined by project need
- Prepare clear and concise daily field reports, which includes photographs and sketches
- Coordinate with contractors, engineer, owner, our project team, and the public
- Work in the field at construction sites as a Construction Inspector for highway / public works projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and perform mathematical calculations based on field measurements

- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and have a reliable vehicle.
- Must be willing to work outdoors in differing weather conditions, near heavy equipment and construction operations, and within highway work zones
- Must obtain and maintain certifications, such as OSHA 10 Hour Safety, MDE
- Proficient in Microsoft software (Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer), Apple iOS, Adobe / Bluebeam PDF manipulation
- Responsible Personnel “White Card”,
- Position available to work out of any of Pennoni's Maryland offices (Baltimore, Frederick, Salisbury)**
- Looking for tech savvy team players with strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- MDOT SHA Traffic Control Manager Certification, and/or other certifications as required by project assignment.
- Must be willing to work overtime/nights/weekends as project requirements dictate.
- MARTCP HMA Field Technician, MARTCP Pavement Markings Technician,
- ACI Concrete Field Technician Grade 1 Certification, MARTCP Soils and Aggregate Compaction Technician,
- MDOT SHA Erosion & Sediment Control “Yellow Card”,
