Tasks

We are seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our team, supporting the Senior QS in delivering revenue works under the Cheshire East Highways Term Maintenance Contract. This is a key role focused on ensuring robust commercial processes, cost control, budget management, change management and effective subcontract account management. The successful candidate will work closely with both the commercial and revenue delivery teams, as well as other departments across the full service delivery partnership at Cheshire East Highways. A significant aspect of the role will involve managing subcontractor relationships,ensuring full compliance with subcontracting procedures, assessing applications and certifying payments. -Uphold and enforce compliance across all commercial operations, maintaining high standards in line with internal and external contractual obligations. -Provide comprehensive support to the Senior QS and the wider commercial team, ensuring compliance with all commercial processes and contributing to the effective delivery of commercial objectives. -Manage and maintain key registers for risk, change control, efficiencies and value-for-money initiatives, supporting continuous improvement and commercial transparency. -Take responsibility for specific subcontract accounts, ensuring full compliance with RJ and contract-specific procedures, including strict adherence to subcontract orders, insurance requirements and sub-subcontracting protocols. -Assist with budget management and financial oversight for key task orders, ensuring accurate cost tracking and value delivery across designated workstreams.
