Land Development Engineer-in-Training

Overview

Assist in civil/land development design, calculations, permitting, and construction support.

Tasks

-Prepare preliminary concept designs and submit for approval -Permitting applications and processing. -Review and approve shop drawings -Attend bi-weekly(or more frequently as necessary) meetings with project team on all projects/tasks -Ensure projects fulfill ISO compliance requirements -Operate within specified (corporate or project) budget parameters -Train adequate backup personnel to support your role in your absence -Achieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization target(80-85% typical) -Read and interpret technical documents needed for performance of job -Compare field data to base plan -Scheduling and preparation of project cost estimates and schedules -Construction administration support including field observation reports. -Comply with all KCI policies and procedures -Consult and coordinate with other practices and sub-consultants as required -Participates in technical studies, AutoCAD-based design, preparation of specifications, and technical plans. -Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications and cost estimates for review and approval -Civil Engineering design and calculations for site grading, erosion and sedimentation control, water, wastewater, and stormwater components of Land Development projects. -Conduct site visits and gather data, including measurements, sketches, notes and photographs as needed -Complete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting the scope

What You Bring

-Proficient in AutoCAD, and Civil 3D experience preferred -Strong technical and professional communication skills. -Excellent time management skills. -Minimum of 0-2 year's experience. -Bachelor's Degree required. Appropriate professional certification preferred. -EIT certification required or the ability to obtain it within 1 year. -Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment.
