Tasks
-Look for opportunities with prospective clients -Conceptualizing and selling new work to existing and new clients -Assist Group Leader with employee performance review effort -Establish good relationships with clients -Oversight of contract preparation and negotiations -Develop Project Managers to delegate design tasks -Use technical resources to assist in quality control -Effectively deal with personnel issues within the team in conjunction with the Group Leader, Human Resources and upper management -Facilitate coordination between groups on multi-discipline projects -Ensure adoption by staff -Monitor monthly team revenue, billings, profitability, and staff utilization -Develop Design Engineers to become Project Managers or Senior Design Engineers -Assessment and goal setting for staff including performance reviews -Direct all aspects of the development of civil/site design projects -Develop Project Managers to create and maintain client relationships -Assist in the development and implementation of quality processes -Assist team and other teams to be profitable -Identify project roadblocks and assist in resolving them -Keep team morale high -Drive velocity on all projects and maintain project schedules -Mentor less experienced staff -Active participation in selling and closing sales on significant projects. -Develop Project Managers to prepare proposals, establish fees, bill projects, and to be responsible for the financial success of projects -Track financial progress of individual projects and Project Managers -Client touches to determine customer satisfaction -Identify hiring needs and assist with interviewing -Work closely with the Private Sector business development staff on marketing, client development and management -Monitor and assist Project Managers’ performance -Ensure proper staff training -Oversight of proposals, interviews, fee justifications, and contracts for the team -Accompanying salespeople to establish new client relationships -Look for new opportunities with existing clients -Motivate employees and facilitate open dialogue and feedback -Develop technical skills of Design Engineers, Project Engineers and Project Managers -Facilitate staff sharing between teams -Update master group proposal tracking spreadsheet updated monthly to monitor workflow trends -Responsible for collection of Team AR as well as specific assigned clients -Ensure that every project gets adequate review at every stage -Create a timetable for Project Managers’ development and monitor progress -Develop Project Managers to successfully manage all aspects of projects

What You Bring
-Proven leadership ability, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills -Broad technical knowledge of the civil/site construction and engineering industry -A minimum of 8 years in the civil/site engineering business -Licensed professional engineer (PE) in Indiana or the ability to obtain Indiana PE license -Aid in technical problem solving
