Pipefitter/Welder (KY) - Feldkamp Mechanical

Overview

Fabricate, install, and weld HVAC sheet metal ductwork and components.

Tasks

-Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols -Operate and maintain welding equipment to build and fabricate metal components -Perform welding operations (MIG, TIG and flux-cored) to secure metal parts and assemblies. -Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal ductwork and HVAC components. -Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications -Perform welding tasks on steel and stainless steel materials -Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. -Inspect welds for accuracy, safety, and quality assurance -Conduct quality checks and troubleshoot any issues that arise during installations. -Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely project completion.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of HVAC systems and components. -Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding with a strong sheet metal background. -Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. -Frequently reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. -Requires a consistent physical presence at the branch office to oversee shared services functions and employees, normally achieved by working standard business hours. Certain positions will require flexibility of working hours to meet the demands of the job and the direction of the manager. -Minimum 5 years of welding experience preferred -Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. -Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or pulling. -Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. -Excellent problem-solving skills. -Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG and flux-cored). -Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints. -Prolonged periods of standing and walking. -OSHA 10 Certification, or willingness to complete the required training -Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments. -Ability to work independently and as part of a team.. -Valid Welding License -Lexington, KY 40506: Relocate before starting work (Required) -Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at times. -Certification in Aerial Lift Platform, or willingness to complete the required training -Proficiency in welding steel and stainless steel
