Tasks
-Assist with planning and establishing project schedules, tracking performance against estimates. -Review contractor progress and critical path activities through regular meetings. -Monitor and ensure contractors' work is executed safely and cost-effectively. -Review project design and identify constructability issues to minimize potential scope changes post-award. -Ensure quality of work performed and identify critical items that may impact the project work schedule. -Oversee all contracted scopes of work in power plant facilities and heavy industrial areas. -Support Outage & Project Management efforts to bid, evaluate, and award work packages. -Inspect ongoing work activities to confirm contractor performance to project plans and specifications. -Assign duties and responsibilities to contractors and subcontractors and track progress. -Monitor all projects for compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. -Assist in the preparation of field installation subcontract packages.

What You Bring
-College degree in a relevant field is preferred. -Minimum high school education with construction management training required. -Experience with computerized work management systems. -Previous General or Mechanical Contractor license holder is advantageous. -Technical knowledge of mechanical/electrical and/or civil/structural systems. -Knowledge of construction codes/standards such as AWS, ASTM, and OSHA. -Strong leadership qualities and team-building skills. -Experience in writing contract scopes of work and working with contract administrators. -Cross-training in project management, planning, estimating, bidding, and scheduling. -At least 10 years of experience in heavy industrial/commercial construction or construction management. -Commercial construction and facilities/commercial construction experience. -Ability to plan and organize Mechanical and Civil/Structural projects.
