Tasks

-Carry out design review of C&S and geotechnical design and analysis for coastal structures such as quay wall, port, jetty, revetment and land reclamation etc. for local and/or oversea projects -Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant statutory standards, regulations and Codes of Practice -Review on C&S, environmental and geotechnical design and analysis for coastal structures such as quay wall, port, jetty, revetment and land reclamation (i.e. deep and shallow foundation, temporary and permanent retaining system, soil improvement, instrumentation, etc.) -Chair all design coordination meetings. -Managing main contracts -Support on pursue project: assist in tender submission -Prepare technical reports and submission to Clients and Authorities (i.e. GIR, concept design, detailed design, risk assessment, ground improvement, etc.) -Review on plan for Site investigation and result interpretation, -Assist the Project Lead / Project Manager to carry out: -Assist the Design Manager to coordinate, manage, and oversee all design related matters including: -Co-ordinate with Contract and Construction team and provide necessary information or correspondences on changes which deviate from the contract and may lead to time and cost implications. -Ensure design coordination, document submission from Contractor is in accordance with the time schedule -Managing sub-contracts (i.e. soil investigation contract, Accredited Checker contract, biodiversity contract etc.) -Ensure Instructions issued by Employers are co-ordinated with the Contractors -Engage and manage stakeholders, such as clients, design team, site team and other relevant parties -Resolve design discrepancies or technical conflicts which may arise from the Contractor while carrying out the construction works -Study and review of submissions from the Contractors -Supervise both design and/or site work -Assist in other Coastal department activities i.e: beach clean up, sports day, etc

What You Bring

-Experience in contract administration will be advantageous -Team player and able to multi-task -Bachelor/Master Degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering from recognised and reputable university -Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite of Software (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc) -Strong written and verbal communication skills in English -Minimum 5 years of relevant civil engineering experience in large scale infrastructure/reclamation projects -Discipline, self-motivated and resourceful -Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plaxis etc -Possess the skill, knowledge and ability to manage and co-ordinate all the design activities
