Tasks

As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for performance across health & safety, project delivery, and customer satisfaction—while shaping a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement. -Manage and grow a diverse, multidisciplinary team, setting culture and strategic direction. -Build strong client relationships and exceed expectations through exceptional service. -Shape and implement people strategies, including recruitment, development, and retention. -Oversee project health and safety, financial performance, and quality assurance. -Lead the delivery of BESS design projects from concept through to completion. -Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 responsibilities as Principal Designer and Designer. -Lead design for new electrical connections (contestable and non-contestable works). -Manage technical delivery across voltage levels from LV up to 400kV, in both transmission and DNO environments.

What You Bring

We're looking for an experienced Design Manager to join our growing programme of BESS projects. You’ll be at the forefront of innovation, integrating multi-disciplinary teams from across global regions and working closely with clients to deliver future-focused, environmentally-conscious solutions. -Chartered Engineer (or equivalent status). -Proven leadership in managing multi-disciplinary design teams. -Strong background in both civil and electrical design within a design & build environment. -Skilled in project management and delivering major infrastructure projects. -Extensive experience in electrical network design across all voltage levels (LV to 400kV). -Degree-qualified in engineering or a relevant science discipline. -Capable of managing tenders for large, complex projects.
