The Role

Tasks

-Provide engineering design services for traditional design-bid-build projects and design-build transportation projects. -Occasional travel may be required. -Perform roadway engineering design tasks for transportation projects from preliminary to final design. -Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including specifications and cost estimates, to facilitate the implementation of roadway projects. -Stay updated on relevant transportation engineering codes, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance with applicable guidelines. -Utilize CAD software to prepare detailed engineering drawings and plans for roadway projects. -Work with senior engineers and other team members to ensure effective communication, coordination, and progress of roadway projects.

What You Bring

-Ability to meet all safety requirements if/when visiting a project site. -Required: 1+ years of roadway design experience -Preferred: EIT Certification -Required: Experience working with Municipal or State DOTs. -Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency. -Preferred: MicroStation, GEOPAK or OpenRoads software experience. -Ability to react quickly and calmly to high-pressure situations. -Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively in team settings. -Required: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
