Contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG -Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work. Identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with mechanical systems -Create monthly billings and submit financial information to Accounting in a timely manner. Update billing projections and estimated completion percentage for all projects monthly -Respond to and resolve client / construction concerns. Manage change orders and obtain appropriate approvals -Provide in-process design reviews of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection system design, calculations, specifications, and project correspondence. Implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements -Participate in project interviews and project presentations -Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals -Ensure design follows owner standards and requirements, IMEG standards and code requirements. Ensure design milestone deliverables are achieved, IMEG and client quality control processes are completed, and construction technical support occurs in a timely manner -Conduct construction site visits and provide documentation as needed or requested -Assist Project Executives and Client Executives with design scopes of work and fee calculations for proposal generation as well as with contract reviews -Create project schedules including targets for milestones and deadlines
-Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, required -Advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles in thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics relating to mechanical design in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems -Strong training and mentoring skills -Attention to detail and problem-solving skills -Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise -Mastery of technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles in thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics relating to mechanical design in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems -Ability to sell work and develop client relationships -Strong training, mentoring and leadership skills -Advanced proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications -This position is not eligible for sponsorship -Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups -Demonstrated leadership traits in the project management career path; ability to mentor, train, motivate, and lead others -Professional Engineer (PE) License required -This position not eligible for sponsorship -Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises -Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays -Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment -Adept in the technical aspects of one’s discipline -7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry -Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull
