Tasks

-Providing design calculations and drawings for water reservoirs like RCC all types tanks (overhead, surface and underground), stone masonry, trench, pump station, pumping main. -Providing detailed designed drawings for all sewerage/ drainage projects. -Respond timely to all technical issues associated to drainage/ sewerage projects and which come from Clients/ government departments/ contractors during design, bidding and implementation. -Providing required and necessary technical specifications for pipe, fittings, construction materials and construction activities. -Design complex, medium and large-scale drainage/ sewerage projects with different types (gravity, loop and combined). -Providing maintenance plan for drainage/ sewerage projects for further operational and maintenance of the completed projects. -Preparing design and construction specifications for drainage/ sewerage projects (gravity and pressure line, distribution network, pumping station, and other hydro-technical structures). -Work in coordination with other teams such as urban planners, urban designers, architects, estimators, CAD and GIS experts for various tasks of the project. -Providing detailed list of pipes and fittings for all kinds of sewerage/ drainage networks projects. -Preparing design, specifications and estimation for sewerage/ drainage networks. -Providing required technical information to procurement expert/ QS, Infrastructure Expert/ Project Manager. -Carry out site visits, data collections, meetings with client and stakeholder agencies to firm up project brief and Client’s requirements at an early stage.

What You Bring

The Drainage/ Sewerage Design Engineer will be stationed in Gurgaon Office but will travel to sites and Client offices as and when required. She/ he will be part of Urban domain and will be working in close coordination with respective project managers of the Urban domain. -Candidate must be proficient in design software such as SewerGems and drawing software such as AutoCad/ Civil 3D. -Must have knowledge of rainfall analysis, generation of IDF curves, catchment analysis for drainage network designs. -Must have knowledge of greenfield and brownfield urban projects, sewage generation, network design, pumping station and pumping main design, selection of treatment technology and treatment plant design. -Experience of site visits, client interactions for technical discussion/ presentation, experience of preparing Tender/ Bid document for drainage and sewerage projects. -Must have thorough knowledge of applicable manuals/ guidelines/ IS codes/ applicable standards. -At least 10 years’ experience in planning, designing, detailed cost estimation and drawing preparation for drainage and sewerage projects. -Should be familiar with MS Office (Work, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook -Graduate Engineer with post graduate degree in public health engineering or equivalent from a reputed institution.
