Class A Laborer- CDL

Overview

Operate CDL truck, install & maintain underground telecom cables, lead small crews.

Tasks

-Assist supervisors with project plans, material management, and task prioritization -Routinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds -Operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor maintenance on construction equipment to ensure optimal functionality -Identify and address potential safety and operational issues proactively -Assist with site restoration efforts, including final grading and landscaping, to meet client expectations -Train and mentor Level I and II laborers to improve their skills and knowledge -Provide support to small workgroups to meet project goals on time and follow safety standards -Complete and verify detailed production reports to maintain accurate project records -Install and maintain complex underground telecommunications cable with precision and adherence to project specifications

What You Bring

-Ability to interpret blueprints, job plans, and technical specifications -Ability to work safely in all weather conditions -Authorization to work in the United States for this company -High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience -3-5 years of experience in underground telecommunications construction or a related field -Perform highly skilled construction tasks such as loading, delivering, excavating, and operating advanced equipment for underground projects -Advanced knowledge of construction equipment operation and maintenance -Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills -To be 18 years of age or older -Strong ability to work independently and provide support in team environments -Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed -A valid Class A commercial driver's license and reliable transportation are required. -Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
