Tasks

-Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all on-site activities at customer locations. -Lead the team at the customer site with awareness of pneumatics, sensors, and other integration elements, ensuring effective communication and execution. -Coordinate with third-party vendors (design houses, manufacturing partners, and bought-out parts suppliers) and be willing to travel across India for site execution and commissioning. -Manage and operate Spot-Welding jigs, Arc welding fixtures, Roller hemming fixtures, etc., with strong knowledge of BIW processes. -Handle installation and commissioning activities in Bodyshop and Chassis shop. -Ensure compliance with Tier-1/OEM design standards and automotive manufacturing processes. Work on welding line processes and layouts such as Spot Welding, ARC welding, and SPR/FDS joining, including standard BOP selection. -Ensure all projects are executed safely by adhering to TBT, JSA, PTA, and 5S practices at the workplace. -Prepare and share daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports with customers and relevant stakeholders. -Act as an interface between the customer and internal teams to prioritize activities as per the project plan. -Maintain day-to-day communication with customers on project progress and escalate issues promptly to internal and external stakeholders as required. -Lead and align work leads (Robot, Controls, and Technical leads) for daily activities, ensuring quality workmanship from third parties.

What You Bring

-6–12 years of relevant experience in Bodyshop/Chassis shop installation and commissioning within Automotive OEMs, Tier-1s, or line builder environments. -Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical or production engineering. -Strong knowledge of BIW processes, welding lines (Spot, ARC, SPR/FDS), fixture handling, layout interpretation, and familiarity with pneumatics, sensors, and automation elements. -Read and interpret layout and detail drawings accurately.
