The Role

Overview

Manage contractor crews for utility construction, safety, scheduling, and invoicing.

Tasks

-Work within departmental budgets. Plan resource coverage and execute work activities directed at achievement of business plans and business unit objectives. May execute passport task progression and participate in PAR meetings as required. (10%) -Interface effectively forming good working relationships with team members, line managers, internal interfacing organizations and contract service providers as applicable. Provide open and honest communication with staff and assure upward communication is integrated into the process, including identifying and supporting continuous improvement initiatives (10%) -Demonstrate continuous effort to improve work processes and work cooperatively to provide quality assistance. Create and maintain tracking and reporting of safety, performance related documents and training along with Capital Approval Process development (10%) -Support the project lead, Senior Contract Coordinator, and Principal Contract Coordinator for construction activities performed by contractor workforces ensuring adherence to company guidelines by performing documented safety audits. (20%) -Support, promote and maintain an environment that fosters a high performance culture and a learning organization. Serves as a change agent for business initiatives and assures the human element is understood and considered. (20%) -Assist with the planning, coordination and direction of contractor crews engaged in the execution of scheduled and emergent work activities, to assure the highest levels of customer services and maintenance crew utilization to achieve Exelon's safety, reliability and performance goals. (30%)

What You Bring

-Skills in organizing and evaluating information and in proactively finding solutions for projects; -Ability to read and understand project schedules, cost reports and performance reports; -Ability to build rapport -In lieu of degree, 3-6 years of relevant experience -Ability to multi-task across various types of activities and deliver quality work within the required Timeframe. Ability to work independently and as a team leader including the ability to handle conflicting priorities in a multi-task environment to drive results. -Minimum: 2 � 4 years' experience in operating, construction work practices, including distribution and/or transmission & substation construction, along with underground and/or overhead work practices. Demonstrated ability to support and enforce safe work behavior via knowledge of OSHA guidelines and regulations. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process enhancements and efficiencies including technology and performance. Demonstrated business and utility financial acumen, customer awareness, and ability to create value. Enabling Competencies: -Demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access, and knowledge of AS8 -Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills. -Action oriented -Preferred: Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related discipline Experience or knowledge of the specific functional area or discipline (e.g., Utility design, planning or construction experience) -Adaptable to change -Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively and foster culture change Technical Competencies and Skills: -Strong relationship management skills;
