Tasks

-Delivers and picks up of equipment for customers in a safe, timely, efficient, and courteous manner -Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work -Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission -Ascend/descend with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climb up and down ladders -Performs basic troubleshooting involving malfunctioning equipment at job site and make minor repairs -Performs pre- and post- vehicle inspection; Inspect truck for defects and safe operating condition, before, during, and after delivery trips -Secures equipment by means of chaining, strapping, and blocking under the strict accordance and established procedures -Completes DOT required drivers daily log and trip sheets accurately and without misrepresentation -Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. -Performs basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairs -Demonstrates proper and safe equipment usage to customer at the point of delivery -Assists with yard operations, inventory assistance, load/unload customers and various shop and/or yard activities whenever required in a safe and efficient manner -Obtains required signatures on rental contracts, pick up, and exchange forms -Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards -Reports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles

What You Bring

-Requires working in a closed vehicle or equipment -Operation and control skills - controlling operations of equipment or systems, forklift experience -Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable -Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction -Possess knowledge of and/or previous experience in driving delivery trucks, towing tandem axle utility trailers, and towable construction equipment, and operating safely within high traffic or congested city zones and in small areas -Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue -The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble small objects -Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment -Quality control analysis skills - conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance -Three years’ verifiable driving experience required, with verifiable over-the-road experience operating combination commercial vehicles -Requires working outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions including extreme conditions such as heavy rain, wind, or excessive temperatures -The ability to adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle quickly and repeatedly to exact positions -High school or equivalent diploma preferred -Demonstrates proficiency with current computer software, related hardware, and machine electronic systems -The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences -Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina -Be able to safely maneuver and work underneath equipment -Ability to read maps and operate GPS systems -Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in mechanical repair -The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing -Significant time spent in confined spaces and/or high places -Requires regular and punctual employee attendance -Equipment selection skills - determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job -Knowledge and understanding of Motor Carrier Safety Regulations/DOT guidelines -Valid Driver’s License with Class A CDL required to include the ability to maintain the License required -Basic knowledge of industrial engine, transportation, and safe driving procedures -Must be able to remain in a stationary position 100% of the time -Ability to maintain a clean driver’s record and diligent attention to safety -Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment -Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
