
Shell Fabricator - 2nd Shift (Weld)

Overview
Fabricate and weld regulator tank shells on 2nd shift using welding equipment.

Tasks
-Operate jib and bridge crane to move and position heavy parts onto machines for each operation. -Check material specifications, and dimensions on shop orders and prints against customer specifications for accuracy. -Acquire materials daily through the use of a forklift per order requirements. -Grind excess weld from seams, edges and gasket seats to improve the fit of parts. Scrapes and wipes down unit to ensure it meets applicable customer requirements. -Meet or exceed productivity requirements for the work center. -Support regulator tank kitting as needed. -Attach shop order to unit with initials signed on it. -Abide by PQG and all weld quality standards. -Roll steel sheet into tank shell, seam weld rolled tank shell, run shell through all other machine operations and install necessary components per the order process sheet. -Stage completed tank shells for next operation, stamping with employee identification number. -Assist co-workers with the movement of units within the work center.

What You Bring
-Associates must be employed at the time of the payout. -Ability to lift up to 50 LBS; bend, twist, grab, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations. -Ability to wear PPE including safety glasses w/side shields, ear plugs or other hearing protection, steel-toed boots w/meta-tarsals, gloves, respirator, weld helmet, and weld jacket. -Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future -Must be able to understand standard shop specifications (shop drawings, process sheets, and measuring equipment etc) -Ability to work overtime when required. -Successfully complete and pass Eaton weld test -A high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required. -Must have a welding certification from an accredited institution AND/OR a minimum of two years of welding and metal fabrication experience.
