Tasks
-Facilitating Qualitative and Quantitative Safety Risk Assessments -Client & Customer Management (External): Manage key client and customer relationships. Likely to involve using account teams to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty. -Policy Development and Implementation: Develop functional or operational policies and help develop policy frameworks for area of responsibility or department. Take responsibility for creating underlying procedures and monitoring their implementation. -Contract Management: Manage the delivery of a major part of the organization's contract management program while taking personal responsibility for a limited number of mission-critical contracts. -Provide advice and guidance to transportation projects through all lifecycle phase from concept development and planning through detailed design and construction phase support. -Business Requirements Identification: Elicit the most-complex business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis, to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals. -Promoting the adoption of Systems Engineering tools and techniques. -Recommendations: Provide integrated, long-term solutions and strategies for a significant area of responsibility, such as a function. -Feasibility Studies: Conduct the most-complex feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective and document findings to complete cost-benefit analysis on implementing changes to business processes, products, or business unit structure. -Project Management: Manage a portfolio of major projects in line with overall project management strategy. -Mentoring less experienced engineers/graduates/interns. -Improvement/Innovation: Initiate, formulate, and implement new business practices within a specific discipline while managing the development and/or delivery of a significant element of the organization's change management program. -Promote the adoption of Systems Engineering Principles in project initiation -Provide advice and guidance to GHD project teams on how to implement a Systems Engineering approach for its transportation projects. -Manage System Assurance activities on multidisciplinary transport engineering projects (Road/Rail etc). -Knowledge Management System: Take responsibility for developing and delivering a key element of the organization's knowledge management system. -Needs Assessment: Engage with senior business leaders to understand long-term strategic challenges. -Create the Requirement Verification and Traceability Matrix; manage the evolution over the life of the project -Solutions Analysis: Develop strategic solutions to long-term business needs by anticipating complex issues, challenges, and opportunities. -Contribute to the Safety justification of transportation project through activities such as Multi Criteria assessments as part of the cost benefit analysis for transport systems. -Managing System Safety engineering and assurance activities for GHD transport projects including Requirements Management -Leading design teams through the Safety Hazard Analysis and management process

What You Bring
-Managerial Experience: Experience of supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes (13 months to 3 years) -Knowledge of the System Engineering and Safety Lifecycles -DOORS© 9.6 -Master's Degree or Equivalent Level an asset -Awareness of RAM and Human Factors. -ISO/IEC 15288 -General Experience: Experience level enables job holder to provide leadership to others regarding work related systems, processes and challenges (More than 15 years) -Knowledge of appropriate national and international standards such as: -Knowledge and experience in transportation systems (particularly Rail) -IEC 61508 -Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline -EN 50126/8/9 -Knowledge and experience in the application of INCOSE SEBoK Principles. -Understanding and experience in application of Systems engineering tools such as: -Ability to apply safety analysis techniques such as HAZOP, FTA. ETA
