Tasks

-Maintain daily diary for record keeping purposes. -Review and approve or reject promotions up to General Foremen. -Manage contract administration (subcontractor/field management meeting for communication). -Review and approve the balance of Foremen, journeymen and laborer’s composite labor rates. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Initiate and attend supplementary and regular meeting with client for problem resolution and planning. -Develop a program to maintain good client relations involving staff on site. -Recommend, where appropriate, organizational, policy and procedural or staff changes. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Mentor and help to grow Jr. Superintendents. -Ensure that all performance evaluations and completed in a timely fashion for direct reports. -Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover. -Review, approve and negotiate change orders. -Oversee and approve the monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections.

What You Bring

-8+ years of experience in the planning, scheduling, and management of deep foundation and/or ground improvement operations. -Must be skilled in one of, if not multiple, of the following disciplines (pile driving, auger cast, small diameter shafts, micro piles, etc.) -5+ years of supervisory experience as a superintendent. -Regular, reliable attendance -Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills. -Strong all-around knowledge of ground improvement techniques, structural deep foundation methods, and support of excavation (SOE) operations; Ground Improvement experience includes rigid inclusions, soil mixing, vibro-replacement (stone columns), vibro-compaction, compaction grouting, permeation grouting, jet grouting, and deep dynamic compaction. Structural deep foundation experience includes micro piles, drilled shafts, aguer-cast-in-place piles, and divine piles. Support of excavation experience includes secant piles, soldier pile anchors, and tie-backs. -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. -Ability to identify and resolve any problems that may arise. -Experience with and broad knowledge of foundation/ground improvement equipment (drills, concrete pumps, batch plants), How to use it properly, and how to rapidly troubleshoot. -Knowledge of proper pumping and placement of concrete and grout. -Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Ability to quickly learn and understand various processes regarding Kiewit’s policies, procedures, and software programs.
