The Role

Overview

Oversee construction quality, especially facades, ensuring compliance and reporting.

Tasks

-Collaborate with the Company Director to develop and maintain quality assurance procedures and processes. -Review and evaluate contractor's workmanship, materials, and construction methods to ensure compliance with project requirements. -Identify and report any discrepancies, defects, or deviations from specifications promptly to the relevant parties for rectification. -Assist in the resolution of technical issues by providing advice and guidance to contractors, subcontractors, and project teams. -Verify that construction work is carried out in accordance with agreed schedules, quality standards, and best practices. -Stay updated with relevant legislation, building codes, and industry best practices, and ensure their incorporation into project activities. -Liaise with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors, to address concerns and provide updates on project progress. -Prepare accurate and detailed reports documenting site inspections, observations, and recommendations. -Conduct regular inspections and monitor construction projects to ensure adherence to specifications, drawings, and regulations -Contribute to the continuous improvement of construction practices, methodologies, and safety standards within the organisation.

What You Bring

-Excellent understanding of building codes, health and safety guidelines, and quality standards. -Must hold either a MRICS or MICWCI Qualification -Ability to work independently and make decisions based on professional judgement. -Proven experience working as a Clerk of Works -Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and regulations in the UK. -Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. -Proficient in using digital tools and software for documenting inspections and generating reports. -Technical expertise and the ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings. -Exceptional attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work. -Experience in facades and façade remediation

Benefits

Compensation: £56,000 - £65,000 / year
