The Role

Support full lifecycle supply chain management for naval nuclear plant components.

Tasks

-Develop skills to support testing of business system improvements. -Analyze data streams from all Program systems to ensure data are effective and accurate. -Identify where data streams indicate potential errors and work with more experienced professionals to develop or recommend solutions. -Support the process steps and information flow for supply chain management life-cycle function(s) under significant oversight (e.g., inventory planning and management, material movement, ship and component configuration, shipboard maintenance application management). -Develop a thorough understanding of, and comply with, business system processes and BPMI operating instructions governing assigned supply chain management function(s). -Support cyclic events within assigned functional areas such as annual reconciliations or audits. -Develop skills to support formal recommendations for Government approval. -Develop skills to support the review of asset life-cycle supply chain processes, as documented in business system procedures, and recommend improvements.

What You Bring

-Requires a security clearance; however, all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance is required. -Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications desired. -Minimum of four full semesters completed prior to your internship (~60 credits). -Strong teaming skills working with all levels of management, engineers, procurement professionals, supply chain professionals, and onsite and remote Navy personnel. -Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Supply Chain Management (SCM), Interdisciplinary studies (a combination of SCM and Engineering, Business, , Data An lytics, or Mathematics) or other logistics-related field from an accredited college or university. -Strong oral and written communication skills. -Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. -Minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
