Tasks

-Receives customer orders and serves as the customer contact point -Generates a referral network to assist in increasing the client base -Occasionally assists in familiarizing customer on equipment and vehicles -Responsible for the sales and marketing of rental and purchase of equipment -Provides service and support of existing customer base -This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines -Maintains records of sales or other business transactions -Formulates bids on new and existing jobs and projects -Identifies and acquires new service contract opportunities -Aids in implementing, sustaining, and developing quality improvement processes that focus on safety, financials, operations, and customer service -Develops new accounts and maintaining accounts from previous year -Prepares and presents sales contracts/lease agreements -Prepares sales plans, sales reports, expense, and daily call reports -Prepare sales or other contracts -Sourcing new business opportunities

What You Bring

-First-class organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills, deadline oriented -Minimum of one to three years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required. Three to five years of experience preferred -Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations -The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences -Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions -Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness -Excellent selling, negotiating, and closing skills with ability to build long term business relationships -Extensive driving required; overnight travel required -This job is generally performed in a retail and office environment; exposure to computer screens; exposure to noise, dust, grease, fumes, gases, heat, cold, and inclement weather conditions -Understands the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making -Valid driver’s license -Exceptional attention to detail -Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly and accurately -Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. -Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems -Understands written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents, and communicates effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience -Demonstrated knowledge of construction equipment and rental industry -High school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred -Demonstrated knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales) -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization -This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations -This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
