Manage commercial aspects of water infrastructure projects, supporting PMs.

Tasks

-Water Treatment Plants: Designing and constructing facilities for treating drinking water to ensure it meets safety and quality standards. -Water Resource Management: Creating strategies for the sustainable management of water resources, including conservation, allocation, and quality monitoring. -Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS): Designing and implementing systems to manage urban runoff and reduce the impact on natural water bodies. -River and Coastal Engineering: Enhancing and protecting riverbanks and coastlines through erosion control, habitat restoration, and sustainable development practices. -Desalination Projects: Developing facilities to convert seawater into potable water, addressing water scarcity in arid regions. -Hydraulic Modelling: Using advanced software to simulate water flow and optimize the design of water-related infrastructure. -Irrigation Systems: Designing efficient irrigation systems to support agriculture and optimize water use. -Wastewater Treatment Plants: Developing systems for treating wastewater to remove contaminants before it is released back into the environment. -Water Supply Systems: Planning and constructing infrastructure for the distribution of clean water, including pipelines, reservoirs, and pumping stations. -Flood Risk Management: Implementing flood defense systems, including levees, floodwalls, and stormwater management solutions to protect communities from flooding.

What You Bring

-Experience in project, commercial and risk management, including client facing roles. -Preferably a degree (or equivalent qualification) in finance, law, quantity surveying, commercial management or an engineering discipline. Post graduate business qualifications are highly advantageous. -Experience gained within a legal, commercial or financial role within the engineering or construction industry. -Experience communicating with clients, subcontractors and subconsultants to proactively resolve commercial performance concerns/risks -Good working knowledge of contract law and specific knowledge with respect to the infrastructure projects. Experience of a range of forms of contract such as NEC3, NEC4, government frameworks and bespoke design & build agreements.
