Tasks

-Identify quality problems, initiate documented action and verify implementation of solutions. -Lead or participate in investigations to resolve quality issues, conducting root cause analysis, recommending corrective actions and ensuring they are effectively executed. -Act as the focal point for project regulatory communications pertaining to quality activities. -Review project schedules for quality related activities to ensure timely and effective implementation of the project quality programme/plan. -Help in defining project objectives and metrics (KPI), ensure reporting for quality objectives are in place, analyse performance, propose corrective or improvement actions as needed. -Continuously review, update and create procedures for all quality related tasks. -Represent the project(s) during quality assurance audits conducted by the client, management, or regulatory agencies. -Ensure that all new employees within the office and/or on site have the necessary quality induction / awareness training. -Coordinate the preparation and establishment of the Quality Plan and Assurance Plan within the project. -Direct quality activities, communicating with engineering, procurement, and construction, admin services, test, operations and other project personnel to ensure management goals and objectives are met. -Manage and conduct the proactive project auditing programme to verify the effectiveness of the project quality plan. -Proactively interact and informally influence project leads to ensure that Quality matters are effectively managed according to Genesis standards and expectations. -Promote a Quality culture in the office, ensuring implementation of best practices and continuous improvement of Genesis standards and systems. -Monitor for changes to scope or other aspects which could impact the project quality assurance budget. -Support a quality mindset and embed right first time principles with personnel assigned to the projects. -Prepare reports on the effectiveness of the project quality management system implementation. -Maintain client liaison, quality reporting and communication for project quality assurance related activities. -Provide training & awareness on project quality activities.

What You Bring

-Engineering degree from an accredited university is desired. Equivalent industry experience will be considered. -Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to piping installation and testing, welding and equipment installation and testing is highly desired (ACI, ASTM, API, ANSI/ASME, AWS, ASNTC-1A, NACE, IEEE, etc). -Candidates must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications and review and comment on documents generated. -Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 10005, ISO 10006 criteria is required. -Knowledge of requirements of other disciplines involved in the procurement, design, and installation of equipment. -Extensive experience in petrochemical and related energy industries. -Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with others is required. -IRCA Registered Lead Auditor or equivalent -Extensive experience of applying the principles of ISO 9001 across multi centred project locations and across varying phases of design and execute works. . -Both FEED and EPC experience -Experience gained within an Engineering design house / Consultancy is seen as an advantage. -Technical knowledge in the application of engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, inspection, testing, certification or operation practices, sufficient to comprehend specified requirements is desired. -Significant experience of at least 10 years in heavy industrial or engineering projects -Membership of the CQI or equivalent
