Design and analyze structural components for renewable energy systems in Miami.
-Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing -Develop and validate structural models using FEA and other analytical methods -Work on the structural design of mechanical components and systems for renewable energy applications -Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations -Interface with suppliers, manufacturers, and external engineering partners -Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, thermal, and software engineers -Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the mechanical engineering team -Evaluate and select appropriate materials based on structural requirements, cost, and sustainability -Troubleshoot structural issues during testing and deployment
-Experience with FEA software (ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar) -Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing standards -7+ years of mechanical engineering experience -Experience designing for extreme environmental conditions (high winds, seismic events, etc.) -Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar) -Experience with renewable energy systems (solar, wind, or energy storage) preferred -Excellent communication and collaboration skills -Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred -Extensive knowledge of structural mechanics, materials science, and manufacturing processes -Knowledge of relevant standards and codes (ASME, ISO, IEC, etc.)
