The Role

Overview

Test and certify emerging products to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Tasks

-Work closely with a variety of Certification Managers to successfully complete training. -Manage certification projects with the assistance of a mentor ensuring compliance with all applicable safety requirements. -Compile subsequent certification reports. -Job shadow Product Safety Engineers and Laboratory Technicians to meet training requirements. -Review test data/reports and show an understanding of technical requirements to support the application of the CSA Mark. -Keep the Managers informed of project status as required, pointing out progress and findings. -Evaluate products against requirements of the national standards and guidelines.

What You Bring

-Correctly interpret the results from the tests. -Must be detail oriented. -Be curious and eager to learn new technologies while applying basic electrical theory. -Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills. -Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. -Be willing to think outside the box to apply efficient methods of doing different tasks related to testing and certification. -New or recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering. -Must be self-motivated and client-service oriented -Ability to work unsupervised, in a team-based work environment. -Strong problem-solving ability. -Good interpersonal and communication skills.
