The Role

Overview

Design and manage transportation projects for roads and highways in ID/WA.

Tasks

-Analyze maps, reports, drawings, and as-builts for design projects. -Serves as the roadway task lead on projects, supporting the project manager and delegating work to junior staff. -Design, prepare, and analyze preliminary and final plans in OpenRoads Designer and/or Civil 3D software. -Meet with project stakeholders and engage the public through open houses. -Provide project specific technical information to the Project Manager for incorporation into the project specifications. -Develop, track and modify project schedules. -Coordinate projects with supervisor, project managers, and firm staff. -Prepare and modify reports, specifications, estimates, and designs for projects. -Provide sketches and/or detailed layout information to design staff for incorporation into the construction drawings.

What You Bring

-Experience in Eastern Washington and/or Idaho with local agency and/or Idaho Transportation Department and Washington Department of Transportation -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering -OpenRoads Designer and/or Civil 3D transportation project experience -7+ years of civil engineering design related to transportation projects -Idaho Professional Engineering license and Washington or the ability to obtain in 6 months -Project experience with DOTs and local agencies
