The Role

Overview

Plans, schedules, and oversees maintenance activities using CMMS to maximize equipment uptime.

Tasks

-Support component standardization, vendor reduction, and elimination of obsolete or underused inventory. -Support new equipment installations, capital projects, and commissioning documentation. -Develop and optimize preventive maintenance schedules and integrate predictive technologies (vibration analysis, thermography, oil sampling) to reduce downtime. -Maintain accurate equipment BOMs and critical spare listings within the CMMS. -Promote continuous improvement, 5S, and standard work practices across maintenance operations. -Serve as CMMS data steward, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and system integrity. -Convert maintenance requests into detailed, safe, and executable work orders with defined labor, tools, and materials. -Track and report KPIs such as PM compliance, schedule adherence, MTBF, and MTTR through dashboards and analytics. -Perform root cause analyses and maintain documentation supporting ISO 9001 and 45001 compliance. -Align PMs with production plans to maximize equipment availability and track compliance through CMMS. -Collaborate with Maintenance, Production, Engineering, and Safety to plan, prioritize, and execute maintenance work. -Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase planned vs. unplanned maintenance performance. -Partner with storeroom and purchasing to manage stock levels, reorder points, and long-lead or critical spares. -Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to schedule work efficiently and issue weekly task priorities. -Prepare complete job kits and ensure timely, accurate work order closeout and reporting.

What You Bring

-5+ years of maintenance experience in heavy manufacturing, foundry, or machining operations; 2+ years in a planning or CMMS role preferred. -Proficiency with CMMS platforms (Microsoft Dynamics 365, Maximo, eMaint, Maintenance Pro, or equivalent). -Walking and performing tasks throughout an active heavy manufacturing operation. -Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. -Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. -Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred, equivalent experience considered. -Preferred certifications: CMRP, OSHA 30-hour, or Maintenance Safety Certification.
