Tool Crib Operator

Description

• Assembles components, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, and more according to directions.
• Maintains equipment and performs basic repairs when needed.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards.
• Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production and product inconsistencies.
• Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications.
• Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials.
• Checks products to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts the manager.
• Uses various powered and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed. May also assist in physical inventory.

Requirements

• Works well as a productive team member.
• Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
• Experience with Shipping and Receiving.
• Computer skills with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
• Basic ability in mathematics, reading, and writing.
• Detail-oriented and consistent.
