Inspect, repair, install equipment & perform welding for underground mining ops.

Tasks

-Perform welding and fabrication activities as needed -Disassemble machines and remove parts for repairs using hand tools, chain falls, jacks or hoists -Participate in safety programs and trainings, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture -Collaborate with team members to repair move machine parts for equipment or transport materials between work areas -Notify supervisors of needed repairs -Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment -Lubricate machines, machine parts or other equipment according to standards -Inspect equipment for signs of wear

What You Bring

-Proper wear of personal protective equipment -Knowledge of MSHA regulations -Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred -Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round -Previous maintenance experience preferred -Ability to work in elevated areas -High school diploma or equivalent -Effective written and verbal communication -Ability to work with minimal supervision -Valid US driver's license -Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance -General physical activities including climbing stairs, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping and handling materials
