Maintain or oversee upkeep of project pursuits in pursuit tracking software.
Oversee coordination of document control requirements (specifications, RFI’s, submittals, revision control).
Review proposed gross margin, risk, execution and delivery plans with project managers and business developers.
Collaborate with Project Manager for compliance of Stantec ISO standards for Project Management, including participation in audits.
Working with Stantec financial team to oversee issuance of timely project invoices, follow up on AR, and monitor consultant budgets and agreements.
Communicating effectively with internal team members, leadership, financial managers, external clients and consultants.
Prepare monthly status reports related to cost, schedule, progress, budget, forecast, and manpower.
Actively participating in development of project estimates, proposals, budgets, resource plans, and schedules.
Producing understandable, timely and useful reports including earned value, potential change order logs, risk registers, estimates to complete, variance reports, etc.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial analysis for distribution.
Maintain resumes and project sheets.
Developing and optimizing Project Controls processes and system(s).
Develop work breakdown and resource plans.
Working closely with the project team to maintain a current and accurate understanding of project status, issues and changes.
Being vigilant and keeping the project team informed of barriers to maintaining the budget and schedule, offer recommendations and corrective actions.

Prior work in project controls / project assistant role on projects exceeding $5M design / $50M construction fee, Federal, or Alternate delivery is a plus.
Must be proficient in MS Office skills, with advanced skills in MS Excel.
Positive attitude, with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to review and interpret financial reports.
Possess strong problem solving and analytical skills, including attention to detail to develop proactive solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, architecture / engineering, or related degree preferred. Candidates with equivalent combination of skills, education, and experience will be considered.
Excellent written and verbal communications.
Minimum of 5 years of experience performing financial analysis, cost management, scheduling, and other project controls / project management functions over the life of a project preferred.
Demonstrated experience producing work breakdown structures, cash flow, earned value, and variance reports.
Selfmotivated individual with a strong work ethic, capable of prioritizing and communicating to multiple groups.
Experience with Financial/Cost systems (Oracle or Similar, Power BI, Construction Management Software, etc.) is preferred.
Experience in an architecture / engineering firm or construction related company required.
