Overview
Serve meals and assist residents with dining needs in a senior living community
Key Responsibilities

Tasks
-Assist with preparation of beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service -Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the dining room, menus, kitchen, serving stations, and other areas as directed -Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled -Assist with special events -Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures -Assist residents with any special dining requests -Ensure dining room is set up, all items needed for service are readily available (silverware, napkins, menus, salt/pepper shakers, etc.) -Ensure safe food handling -Learn and retain residents’ names, special requests, and dietary restrictions -Take residents’ dining orders in a friendly and attentive disposition -Ensure all residents are accounted for during each meal, and completing documentation of their attendance

What You Bring
-Ability to handle multiple priorities -High school diploma preferred/GED accepted -Competent in organizational, time management skills -While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell. -Minimum of one (1) year experience in fine dining hospitality and/or full service senior living -Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills -An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics. -Experience working with seniors -FSA (Commuter/Parking)
