The Role

Overview

Handles order processing, shipping/receiving, inventory, and forklift operation.

Tasks

-Load finished products/orders onto trucks. Transport stock from storage to the warehouse or where needed. Load or unload material inbound or outbound. -Check outgoing and incoming shipments for accuracy. -Keep the work area clean, safe, organized, and maintained by following the 6 S’s (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety). -Order picking, packing, wrapping, labeling products, and shrink-wrapping orders that are palletized according to a standard operating procedure, making a note to follow any special instructions on orders with customer-specific requests. -Monitor the movement and progress of orders to ensure timely delivery. -Inspect goods for defects and report damaged or defective material/product to the supervisor or sales staff; no damaged product will be sent out. -Retrieve stock to fulfill orders. -Place compiled/completed orders in the appropriate designated areas. -Open bales, crates, and other containers. -Wear the proper safety equipment and always abide by safety rules. -Check orders for accuracy. -Assist in counting physical inventory. -Operate a forklift, two-wheel hand cart, and scales.

What You Bring

-Must be able to operate foot pedals for 4+ hours per shift -Must be able to work in a hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environment -Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for 6+ hours per shift -Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, 4+ hours per shift -HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution -Effective written and verbal communication skills -Knowledgeable in TFI/OSHA Safety Requirements -High level of accuracy and attention to detail -Must be able to perform simple grasping, push, pull, perform fine manipulation, and feel for 6+ hours per shift -Must be able to climb ladders for 4+ hours per shift -Strong organizational skills & Mathematical skills -Must be able to crouch, kneel, and stoop for 4+ hours per shift -Previous experience operating warehouse equipment, and successful completion of a forklift training program -Must be able to work in crowded spaces for 4+ hours per shift -Must be able to bend and crawl for 4+ hours per shift -Must be able to make fine distinctions in sound, express and exchange written or spoken words, and distinguish objects and equipment visually -Previous 1-2 years of warehouse experience required
