Tasks

The Senior Staff Accountant reports to the Controller and is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities. This is an important role within a finance department of four employees and offers diverse tasks each month. This role offers significant learning and exposure to multiple facets of accounting. -Bank reconciliations -Maintain Excel schedules for accounts such as prepaids and deposits -Assist the Controller with year-end audit request -Journal entries for labor allocations to jobs -Administer the credit card program and import card activity into the accounting system -Fixed assets – maintain the schedules and entries monthly for equipment utilization -Monitor exceptions that occur with the AI tool used for AP

What You Bring

-Experience with Viewpoint or Pro Contractor software a plus -Intercompany accounting and consolidations a plus -Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field -Minimum 2 years’ experience in Senior Accounting or similar role -Vision and Dental -Good organizational skills -Ability to query and review data sets -Excellent communication skills -Experience in a construction environment a plus
