Lead and manage Survey/Geomatics projects, teams, and technology solutions for VHB.

Tasks

-Performs all job functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and VHB policies and procedures -Manages a team of Survey/Geomatics professionals. Carries out supervisory responsibilities, including hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; coaching and motivating; and addressing problems -Collaborate with local and regional leadership to drive key hires, client development, and technical excellence. -Promotes work sharing across offices and advises on the deployment of staff on major projects and pursuits -Participates in professional and personal development aligned with career goals -Ensure quality control and consistency across all deliverables and processes -Oversee hiring, training, performance management, and career development within the group -Evaluate and implement new tools and workflows to enhance project delivery and client satisfaction -Monitors and maintains the financial performance of the Survey/Geomatics group -Reviews client and quality audit feedback and develops plans to implement best practices -Develops, monitors, and maintains project budgets, scopes, and schedules -Promote the use of advanced survey technologies including UAS, terrestrial scanning, LiDAR, and GPS systems -Supervise and mentor a team of survey professionals across office, field, and remote settings -Develop growth plans and identify market opportunities and strategies, such as key hires and the development of business opportunities while meeting expectations -Manage full project life cycles from scoping and planning through execution and delivery -Develops client solutions benefitting from advancements and applications of data and technologies -Works with leadership groups to develop and implement consistent work processes and standards -Develops and directs service line strategies and initiatives that support VHB’s strategic plan and local business planning/strategic pursuits -Works with discipline groups to develop and implement quality plans -Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and innovation -Support cross-office work sharing and staff resourcing for large, complex projects -Creates project plans, identifies, and organizes resources, and successfully executes projects to completion -Aligns service offerings to VHB’s market requirements -Promotes the awareness of available technologies within the Survey/Geomatics team

What You Bring

-Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills -Ability to strategically identify and implement innovative ideas that add value -Excellent management skills with an emphasis on performance recognition and development -Strong leadership and decision-making skills with a strategic mindset -Proficient in a broad array of technical skills with professional mastery -Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal -Proficiency in survey technologies and software including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble, MicroStation, Geopak, OpenRoads Designer and LiDAR platforms -Team oriented with ability to perform multiple tasks independently in a timely manner and collaborate effectively and positively with others -Licensed Land Surveyor in Florida is required. -BS in Survey Engineering, Geomatics, Geographic Information Systems, Engineering, Reality Capture, or related field -Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented -Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite -10+ years of experience managing Survey/Geomatics projects, including 5+ years of client/staff/project management
