Laborer Journeyman

Overview

Prepare, handle, and supply materials, erect scaffolding, and perform concrete work for construction crews.

Tasks

-Lift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets -Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging -Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels -Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete -Provide work direction and guidance to Laborer I, II, Helpers, and Apprentice -General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and unloading or burning debris -Load and unload equipment

What You Bring

-Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements -Vibrate concrete -Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies -Our postings are typically open a minimum of 5 days and an average of 44 days. -*Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs. -Experience in construction preferred -Completion of two-year apprenticeship program -Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position. -Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback -Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.).
