Tasks
-Attend bi-weekly meetings, risk registry workshops and scheduling workshops, and any other required meetings and coordination with utility companies, approval agencies, client etc. as may be required throughout the course of construction. -Oversee construction projects from construction start through construction completion. -Ensure quality and compliance with regulatory bodies. -Assist with maintaining an up-to-date deficiency log and ensure all deficiencies are dealt with in a timely manner. -Track red-line drawings with contractor and ensure adequacy of information being captured. -Construction Inspection: Including attending progress meetings, developing meeting minutes and submittals reviews, and preparing daily and weekly inspection reports. -Coordinate and follow-up with all engineering disciplines to review shop drawings, RFIs, and other relevant construction documentation as required. -Ideal candidate for this position will provide project management for planning, and organizing all aspects of the task related to the relevant projects. As part of this role, the manager will oversee the work of peers/subordinates acting as the point of contact to handle any issues regarding the project. -Assist with and coordinate all required materials testing under the consultant's scope, including review of all materials testing to ensure conformance to the contract documents. -Company Representation: Increase the company’s visibility with internal and external professionals by participating in regional initiatives, conferences, committees, and community associations, including any identified industry activities. -Ensure that the contractor is adhering to all contract requirements and enforce such requirements should they not be adhered to. -Prepare daily inspection reports sufficiently detailed and maintained, including all relevant photographs, and uploaded to electronic project folders. -Provide feedback on construction schedule submissions including narrative reports and two-week look-ahead schedules provided by the contractor. -Perform construction inspection assignments or site visits of ongoing construction/rehabilitation work and attend progress meetings. -Ensure proper health and safety protocols are being adhered to on site in accordance with OSHA, and raise concerns of health and safety protocols not being adhered to including unsafe work practices, and ensure that the contractor is rectifying such issues, including submission of incident reports etc. -Assist with maintaining, updating, and reviewing tracking sheets/logs for risk registry, RFIs, RFQs, CCOs, submittals, working days, other issues, etc., and ensure that relevant documents are provided and dealt with in a timely manner. -Report on and track status reports.

What You Bring
-Bachelor’s degree in relevant area of study required; master’s degree a plus. -Team Leader: Experience successfully managing multiple tasks, projects, and technical staff. Managing the working and reporting output of teams of construction administrators and inspectors for major tunnel infrastructure projects (transit, water, wastewater, stormwater etc.), to include ground condition/behavior and structural condition inspections. -Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Certification and/or Nationally Certified Tunnel Inspector (NTIS) Certification is preferred. -Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients. -Business Development: Demonstrated success developing relationships with clients and contributing to business growth -Must have proven work history as a Resident Engineer and/or as a Construction Manager with tunneling experience. -Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred but not required. -15+ years of experience of Structural Rehabilitation and/or Tunnel Construction Management work. -Excellent problem solving, decision making and teamwork skills. -Ability to work independently, exercise independent judgment, interact with other staff, collaborate with other disciplines. -Technical Writing: Proficiency in technical writing including letters and daily reports. -Communication: Strong communication skills. Communicate technical and non-technical information in a concise, timely, and professional manner, including participation in technical meetings and workshops with owners, contractors, and other stakeholders. -Field based assignments will include weekdays, night, and weekend work. Office based assignments will require a standard weekday business hours work schedule. -Structural experience with building/structural inspection
