About the Role

Key duties include organizing and leading the warranty and service schedule, allocating labor resources with the Electrical Foreman and Construction Supervisor, and leading regular training meetings for the local field service team. The technician must consistently exceed key performance indicators such as turnaround time, experience rating, and average dispatches completed. Additional responsibilities involve supporting inspections, site audits, and onboarding new team members. Physical demands include regularly transporting materials up to 50 lb (and up to 100 lb with assistance), working on rooftops with various angles, climbing ladders, and performing tasks in extreme weather conditions. Employees must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, and maintain balance while using fine motor skills and personal protective equipment. What You Bring

The Field Performance Technician is responsible for managing, scheduling, and completing all service and warranty work across the field team. This role works both independently and collaboratively with the Performance O&M team, interfacing with customers, the Branch Manager, Senior Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor, and the centralized scheduling team. Success in this position requires strong coordination and communication skills to ensure smooth operations. Applicants need 1–3 years of field construction or solar experience, with a high school diploma as a minimum requirement; PV design or PV electrical experience is preferred. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, and may need a state‑specific Electrical Journeyman certification or license. The role also demands the ability to pass a driving background check. The ideal candidate has solid knowledge of the NEC and applicable codes, can interpret single‑line drawings and PV system layouts, and demonstrates strong customer‑service skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, time‑management, and computer abilities are essential.
