About the Role

In this role you will support directional drilling for the installation of underground conduit and fiber optic cable, working closely with a Drill Locator to ensure successful installation of coax and fiber systems while protecting public safety and existing underground utilities. • Locate and operate horizontal directional drill for underground conduit and fiber optic cable installation • Collaborate with the Drill Locator to install coax and fiber systems • Ensure public safety and protect existing underground utilities • Read utility locates and coordinate daylighting of facilities • Transport heavy equipment to and from job sites daily

What You Bring

The ideal candidate is safety‑focused, has at least two years of utility directional drilling experience in an urban environment, is proficient with Vermeer or Ditch Witch drills, can interpret maps and diagrams, and holds a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record. A hands‑on problem‑solver who enjoys teamwork and long‑term projects will thrive here. • Minimum 2 years utility directional drilling experience in urban settings • Proficiency with Vermeer or Ditch Witch drills of various sizes • Ability to read maps, drawings, and diagrams • Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record • Strong problem‑solving skills and hands‑on work ethic

Benefits

Compensation ranges from $28 to $30 per hour, with overtime paid at 1.5 × the regular rate in accordance with California law.
