About the Role

The QC Technician role ensures all ready‑mix concrete products consistently meet quality standards and customer specifications, offering strong growth opportunities across multiple plants, field operations, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will communicate effectively with plant and field personnel, demonstrate a high level of quality focus, attention to detail, and ownership, and monitor inspection processes while proposing enhancements to quality controls and testing practices. This position is based primarily in Orangeville, with regular travel to additional plants in Alliston and Elora, as well as various field locations, to support business needs. • Manage concrete lab, testing and monitoring the manufacturing process. • Ensure compliance with mix design and job specifications. • Collaborate with production managers on test results to support quality concrete production. • Implement corrective actions after consulting operational personnel. • Represent the company professionally with internal and external customers. • Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings. • Maintain strong attention to detail. • Comply with all relevant safety policies and procedures. • Assume responsibility and communicate effectively with a diverse workforce.

What You Bring

• Hold a minimum two‑year Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent QC experience. • Maintain current CCIL/ACI certification for concrete testing or be willing to obtain it. • Thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven, customer‑focused environment. • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and related computer programs. • Hold a valid Class G driver’s license and be able to travel to work locations and job sites as needed.
