About the Role

You will join the JD Star Graduate Pathway at the new Technology Centre in London, working as a Software Engineer on retail platforms. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include developing functional modules, designing scalable architectures, researching technical solutions, collaborating with product and test teams, ensuring code quality, and exploring emerging technologies. • Develop functional Java modules, write maintainable code, and ensure timely delivery. • Design and review technical solutions, plan system expansion, and maintain architectural scalability. • Research and solve complex technical problems, optimizing performance and service availability. • Collaborate with product and test teams to implement requirements and meet delivery schedules. • Establish code standards and monitoring systems to reduce failure rates. • Track industry trends, evaluate new technologies, and apply them to business scenarios.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate will graduate in 2025 or 2026 with a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field. You should be proficient in Java, familiar with micro‑services frameworks and Spring/Spring Boot, have experience with MySQL and basic system operations, and possess strong technical and API documentation skills. Fluency in Chinese and English is required, and experience with third‑party integration or internet platforms is a plus. • Graduate in 2025/2026 with a BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related discipline. • Proficient in Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and familiar with micro‑services architecture. • Experience with MySQL and basic system operations. • Strong technical and API documentation skills; fluent in Chinese and English. • Optional: experience with third‑party integration, internet platforms, merchant onboarding, or data operations.
