About the Role
• Install, align, and assemble boiler systems, heat exchangers, and auxiliary components. • Perform maintenance tasks such as tube cleaning, gasket replacements, and mechanical repairs. • Conduct hydrostatic testing, inspections, and pressure testing of boiler and heat exchanger systems. • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, operational, and structural issues in boiler and heat exchanger systems. • Repair or replace defective components, including valves, tubes, and seals. • Perform welding and fabrication using carbon steel and stainless steel, ensuring welds meet industry standards. • Follow OSHA, company, and industry safety guidelines; use PPE and maintain safe, organized work areas. • Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics to execute tasks effectively. • Document completed work, including repairs, inspections, material usage, and maintain equipment records. • Collaborate with supervisors, project managers, and team members; mentor apprentices to build skills.

What You Bring
The Boiler Heat Exchanger Journeyman is a skilled professional responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of boiler systems and heat exchangers. This role requires a deep understanding of boiler operations, welding, and system troubleshooting, ensuring high-quality work that adheres to safety and industry standards. • Possess 4-6 years of experience in boiler and heat exchanger installation, maintenance, and repair; Journeyman certification required. • Hold a high school diploma or GED; welding certifications (ASME, AWS) and OSHA 30‑hour certification are strongly preferred. • Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting boiler and heat exchanger systems and skilled use of welding, cutting, and fabrication tools. • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions.
