About the Role

As a Strategy Analyst (or Senior Strategy Analyst) you will partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop, drive and implement strategies that enable the first offshore hybrid assets in GB. You will also produce and present briefs, lead high‑quality reports and represent NESO at industry meetings and external events. The role is based in Warwick with options to work from other NESO offices and offers hybrid, full‑time or part‑time flexible working arrangements. • Develop and implement strategies and plans for delivering the first offshore hybrid assets (OHAs) in GB. • Engage with offshore wind developers, interconnector developers, European TSOs, regulators, Ofgem, DESNZ, and GB Transmission Owners to find collaborative solutions. • Identify required changes to offshore coordination, including processes, industry codes, standards, and technical/commercial adjustments. • Write and present comprehensive briefs on OHA complexities to senior management and external audiences. • Drive internal and external deliverables related to offshore hybrid asset projects. • Lead production of high‑quality external reports, communications, and NESO responses to Ofgem consultations. • Represent NESO as an expert at industry meetings, code panels, working groups, and other external events. • Maintain a resilient mindset and comfort with uncertainty. • Effectively manage small to medium projects with a holistic perspective. • Analyze complex problems, processes and information to produce clear, articulated outputs. • Foster a cohesive, collaborative team environment. • Be aware of electricity industry regulatory arrangements and codes. • Participate in ongoing skill development aligned with NESO’s purpose and values.

What You Bring

We are looking for candidates who excel at stakeholder engagement, can lead and facilitate collaboration across the electricity industry, and have proven experience delivering complex technical projects, ideally within the energy sector. The ideal person is curious, proactive, self‑motivated, resilient to uncertainty, and experienced in managing small to medium projects holistically. Strong analytical abilities, teamwork, and excellent written and presentation skills are essential. Additional beneficial knowledge includes a solid understanding of the electricity industry from stakeholder, commercial and operational perspectives, familiarity with regulatory arrangements and codes, and awareness of interconnectors and offshore wind farm operations, as well as basic transmission system operation. • Excel at internal and external stakeholder engagement, leading collaboration across the electricity industry. • Demonstrate proven experience delivering complex technical projects, preferably within the energy sector. • Show curiosity, proactivity, self‑motivation, and the ability to work independently. • Possess excellent written and presentation communication skills. • Hold a solid understanding of the electricity industry from stakeholder, commercial and operational viewpoints. • Know interconnectors and offshore wind farm operation characteristics and processes. • Have a basic understanding of transmission system operation.
