About the Role
As a Mechanical Engineer III–IV, you will act as the firm’s representative in interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members. You will be responsible for trade‑specific system design, including layout creation using CAD/BIM, performing calculations with appropriate software, and coordinating designs across architectural and engineering disciplines alongside senior technical staff. Additional duties include preparing calculations, reports, and specifications; selecting and designing fire‑suppression systems and drafting performance specifications; consulting on existing‑facility diligence, sustainability analyses, and feasibility reports; producing drawings that align with client requirements; and providing engineering support to senior staff. • Represent the firm with clients, contractors, architects, and project team members. • Create trade‑specific system designs using CAD/BIM and perform calculations with specialized software. • Prepare calculations, reports, specifications, and fire‑suppression system selections. • Conduct facility diligence, sustainability analyses, and feasibility studies. • Produce drawings that meet client standards and coordinate with other trades. • Support senior engineering staff on complex projects.

What You Bring
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a mechanical discipline from an accredited university and 3.5 to 7+ years of consulting experience. Candidates must be proficient in Revit and the latest AutoCAD MEP, capable of creating red‑line markups, and knowledgeable in reading and visualizing floor plans, sections, and elevations. Expertise in trade‑specific design software, system selection, code compliance, and familiarity with SKM for short‑circuit coordination is preferred; an EIT is required and a PE is advantageous. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and 3.5–7+ years consulting experience. • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and trade‑specific design/calculation tools; SKM software preferred. • Possess EIT certification (PE preferred) and strong knowledge of applicable codes.
